Contents : CEREMONY AT LOS PINOS WORLD DAY FOR WATER MARCH 22nd 2004 PRELIMINARY AGENDA Aim of the meeting: to announce to the international community the formal opening of the organization of the 4th World Water Forum which will be held in Mexico in March 2006. Participants: international personalities from the water sector ambassadors from different countries Governors from the World Water Council Governors of different States representatives of various water related organizations representatives of the River Basin Councils representatives from the Water Advisory Council employees of the National Water Commission and other government ministries and agencies (approximately 250 people). Requirements: simultaneous translation (English Spanish Spanish English) and simultaneous translation Japanese-Spanish and Japanese-English during Mr. Hashimoto s speech pressroom for the international press conference following the ceremony. At the end of his speech Mr. Hashimoto will hand over to President Fox a commemorative gourd that symbolizes the transfer of the organization of the Forum from Japan to Mexico. Speech by Dr. William COSGROVE President of the World Water Council on the subject of the World Water 9:25-9:30 Forums. Dr. COSGROVE will mention the work performed by Dr. ABU-ZEID to whom an award will be given.
