The Frenchman leads Jari-Matti Latvala (+6.1s) and Francois Duval (+10.2s). Mikko Hirvonen lost out the most. The Finn lost 2m34s with a puncture and dropped to fifth overall. 1. LOEB / ELENA I didn t really push. As soon as I heard on the radio that Hirvonen had problems I became slightly distracted for a few moments. I was wondering whether or not I was World Champion 3. HIRVONEN / LEHTINEN I picked up a puncture in a hole that I hadn t noted during the recce. I had to stop and change the wheel. 4. DUVAL / PIVATO I lost some time and a bit of concentration when I passed Mikko s car that was stopped by the side of the road. My brakes were cooked by the end of the stage. 8. LATVALA / ANTTILA I feel very sorry for Mikko. Now we are third which is very good for us. We re going to try and carry on at this pace. 5. SOLBERG / MILLS The car is still unstable. 6. ATKINSON / PREVOT My time wasn t great but I m not necessarily looking to do any better. I m nonetheless happy enough with the way the car is handling. 25. AAVA / SIKK The car is working well. I ve got a good feeling this morning. Five kilometers before the finish I overshot a junction in a village (Pila Canale). I lost a bit of time before getting back on the right road. 14. TIRABASSI / GORDON My feeling with the car is better this morning and our times are improving. I m happy again. 7. WILSON / MARTIN I was slower than Tirabassi at the first split so I upped the pace. If I had kept the same pace from the start of the rally I would have finished in front of him. 21. OSTBERG / UNNERUD It s a very difficult stage. I had a bad feeling with the car so the day has not started well. 17. AL QASSIMI / ORR I ve had a few problems with the car. Its handling seems to be delicate particularly downhill. 15. GARDEMEISTER / TUOMINEN I liked that long stage very much. It s a lot of fun to drive. 24. RAUTENBACH / SENIOR I started the stage well before gradually losing the rhythm. The end of the stage was very tricky. 23. MIKKELSEN / FLOENE The objective for us now is to get the car to the finish. 22. JONES / JENKINS I m not very happy with the set-up of the car . 12.
