Please read these fitting instructions before attempting to fit the hamster. Hamster for the BSA Scorpion Rifle. 1. Remove action from stock by unscrewing M6 stock retaining bolts from the underside of the rifle. Photo 1 Installation. 3. Drill a small pilot hole (2.5 to 3mm) in both positions ensuring drill is square to top face of stock. 2. Typically the rear-rmost edge of the hamster plate aligns approximately with the front of the trigger guard. The actual position of the hamster plate can be set according to the users preference. The following are suggested dimensions. Please check these positions are suitable before drilling your stock. Mark the position for the rear mounting hole 20mm in front of the trigger guard. Mark the front hole a further 95mm forward. Photo 2 Safety first. Observe safe practices when handling your rifle and follow the manufacturers safety instructions when doing so. It is advised that before carrying out any work on an air rifle that it is unloaded and the air receiver is empty. If you are not sure that your skills are sufficient to fit the hamster seek professional advice. Always follow the manufacturers instructions when operating power tools and ALWAYS wear safey glasses. Photo 2 Photo 1 . www.rowanengineering.com Drill out to 6.2 to 6.5mm. It is useful to have a helper hold the stock and check the squarness during drilling. A drill press is recommended but can be drilled with care using a pistol drill. Photo 3 4. Countersink to inside of the stock to ensure the M6 x 40mm CSK screws will not touch the air reciever tube when the action is replaced into the stock. Photo 4 5. Fix the longer front post to the stock using a M6x40 screw. Fix the rear post using the second M6x40 screw. Note the angle on the ends of the posts should be aligned to the underside stock angle. GENTLY tighten front and rear screws. Do not overtighten as this will crush the stock. Fit the hamster plate to the post using 2 M6x20 screws. Photo 5 6.
